After some time in Amish-country, we have five days before we fly to Winnipeg.... so what are we going to do? Head to New York, of course! We don't really have any plans yet, but we're hoping to see some of the Big Apple and drive around the area. Any suggestions???
In Winnipeg we will be visiting some friends and family for a couple days, then spending a day at Mennonite Church Canada's head office to figure out more logistics of our assignment. And finally, we'll be attending Mennonite Church Canada's missions seminar for the last weekend of our trip. We'll be home July 25th.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we travel, learn and fellowship for the next 6 weeks. And pray that Cody will adjust well... I'm not too worried, seeing as he is such a happy and flexible little guy, but he will be in day care for nearly 4 weeks! Actually, I think his mama might be the one who needs prayers:)
Peace to you all!
....and I had to add a photo of Cody:) Here he is with all his travelling necessities: his cool-like-my-dad hat, his favourite travel chair and daddy's wallet!

Cody is cool like his dad! And cute. Thanks for this update and pray for you enough sleep and energy for this 6 week trek.
ReplyDeleteNew York is amazing - just walking around is cool. Ya'll should go to Philly though, and Camden. Philly is old and has a lot of history and is really cool (not to mention philly cheese steaks and water ice). And if you want to see urban poverty like you've never seen in north america - go to Camden, its crazy. I can hook you up with UP peeps
